Attendees of GLEPHA 2026 with an interest in first responder wellbeing and intersectionality are invited to attend this co-developed special interest group event.

Join us for a dynamic, full-day workshop co-hosted by the Intersectionality Special Interest Group and the First Responder Wellbeing Special Interest Group and sponsored by the Centre of Excellence for Equity in Uniformed Public Services (Anglia Ruskin University).

This collaborative event invites participants to explore the challenges and opportunities in promoting wellbeing, understanding the impact of intersectionality, human rights, and fostering culturally competent and safe practices within Law Enforcement and Public Health (LEPH) settings.

Designed for practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and community members, the programme features interactive sessions that address the lived experiences of those working in first response roles. Participants will journey from foundational understandings of intersectionality and human rights, through to data-driven strategies, organisational change, and practical applications for cultural safety.

The day will be delivered through presentations, panel discussions, and workshops and attendees will gain insights about practices aiming to advance equity and wellbeing in their own contexts.

The sessions will cost £60.00 per person and includes lunch and refreshments
